The Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden on Darmstadt's Rosenhöhe, which opened in 2020, sees itself as a center for top-class sculpture. It showcases renowned national and international artists in annually changing exhibitions.

From April 26 to October 26, 2025, the Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden is showing the exhibition TONY CRAGG in close cooperation with the Science City Darmstadt. A total of 10 works by the German-British artist Tony Cragg will be on display from the Mathildenhöhe to the Rosenhöhe and the Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden.

Open Monument Day 2025

On the occasion of this year’s Open Monument Day, the gates of the Spanish Tower will once again be open to the public. At 1:00 PM, the Sculpture Garden Spanish Tower will offer a guided tour of the current exhibition TONY CRAGG. Starting at 3:00 PM, visitors will be guided through the Spanish Tower in small groups.

Art meets space travel: ESOC visitor group in the Spanish Tower sculpture garden

Science meets art: On May 8, 2025, around 30 staff members and affiliates of ESOC visited the TONY CRAGGexhibition in the sculpture garden at the Spanish Tower – an inspiring encounter of contemporary sculpture, historic architecture, and international space exploration.

Vernissage »TONY CRAGG«

A grand opening for great art: the TONY CRAGG exhibition at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mathildenhöhe was opened in glorious sunshine - with prominent guests, a personal greeting from the artist and a festive tour of the sculpture trail.
