Open Monument Day 2025

On September 14, 2025, the Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden once again opened its doors for the Day of Open Monuments, inviting visitors to explore its architecture, history, and art.
Since 1993, the German Foundation for Monument Protection has coordinated the Day of Open Monuments in Germany. This year, for the fifth time, the Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden also took part in the German contribution to the European Heritage Days.
More than 50 visitors had the opportunity to explore the Spanish Tower as part of six guided small-group tours and to visit the upper floors of the listed building, which was extensively restored in 2018 / 2019 and today forms the architectural centerpiece of the sculpture garden named after it. At 1:00 p.m., the mediation program of this year’s Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden also included a guided tour of the current exhibition TONY CRAGG.
The Sculpture Garden Spanish Tower is already planning further guided tours of the Spanish Tower for next year. As in previous years, these are scheduled for the International Museum Day on the second Sunday in May and the Day of Open Monuments on the second Sunday in September.
