Day of Open Monuments 2025

On the occasion of this year’s Open Monument Day, the gates of the Spanish Tower will once again be open to the public. At 1:00 PM, the Sculpture Garden Spanish Tower will offer a guided tour of the current exhibition TONY CRAGG. Starting at 3:00 PM, visitors will be guided through the Spanish Tower in small groups.

Climb the narrow stairs in the Spanish Tower? The Spanish Tower Sculpture Garden invites you to do just that again this year on Open Monument Day. On the second Sunday in September, public tours of the Spanish Tower will be offered again starting at 3:00 PM.

Between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM, tours around and through the Spanish Tower will be offered every half hour on the hour. The tours will take place in small groups of no more than 8 people. This may result in waiting times.

At 1:00 PM on this year's Open Monument Day, a public tour of the TONY CRAGG exhibition will be offered. The tour starts at Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt and leads to the Spanish Tower sculpture garden.

Due to high demand, a ticket is required for all public tours. Tickets are available via the ZTIX booking portal for a symbolic price of EUR 1.00 plus fees.
